Douchebag

Hey, this is Darlo. Legal says we have to play nice with The Douchebag – props to Joey for coming up with that nickname! – so I wrote up his bio, and posted some links to places you can buy his book, Rock Bottom, and also links to places he’ll be reading from the book, though why anyone would want to watch someone else read their own book is beyond me. I don’t even like to read, unless it’s the new issue of Hustler. And we’ve got a picture of him up to show just how much of a poser he is. I mean look at this asshole! How hard can you try, desperado?

So, uh, Michael Shilling is a lecturer at the University of Michigan, where he received his MFA in Creative Writing (wow, we’re so impressed!). His stories have appeared in The Sun, Fugue, and Other Voices (which, like, HELLO, no one’s ever heard of!), and he was, for a number of years, the drummer in The Long Winters (Adam and Joey like them, but I think they’re pretty faggy). He is currently working on a novel that takes place in Victorian England (Snoozer!).
